I am hoping to use a DNS-321 as an FTP server. Along with our old FTP server (a soon-to-be-retired old HP box), it lives on a different subnet from the rest of my workstations. To access files from the server, even in-house, my staff use an FTP client (either Windows Explorer or a true FTP client such as WS_FTP) to download files onto the network.
I configured and installed the DNS321 as our replacement FTP server yesterday and am already having a major issue with it. Uploads to the DNS-321 work perfectly and as expected. But when downloading those same files, significant data loss causes files to corrupt.
For example, a client uploaded a 616KB PDF. I can successfully open the PDF from the old FTP server, and within the old server's browser, the PDF shows correctly at 616KB. When I connect to the FTP site via Windows Explorer or WS_FTP from a workstation attached to the primary subnet, the PDF shows at 615KB (which should generally still be OK because of differences in file systems). But when I download the PDF, it comes onto my workstation at 612KB and won't open. Same behavior for other files.
Has anybody seen anything similar?

Not certain, but it seems that the firmware upgrade to 1.01 might have solved my issues.
