Hi,
I would like to know if the compiled plugins below for mounting external drives on the DNS-323 are still compatible with funplug 0.5. Just to know before having issues.
usb-storage.ko from http://dev.skcserver.de/dns323/modules_ … b/storage/
ntfs.ko from http://dev.skcserver.de/dns323/modules_ … l/fs/ntfs/
Has somebody already created a script which would read a specific file on the external drive saying what the DNS-323 should do,
I would see 2-3 basic information :
1 - the copy flow : usb2dns or dns2usb
2 - what directory or file to copy (more choice instead of a full backup)
3 - where to copy (optional) - a simple predefined directory would be enough (like : upload)
Thanks for your suggestions

Hi,
Is anybody in here using their DNS-323 with an external drive ? I think this would be useful for people having their NAS connected to the router and accessing by wifi to their network, copying data on a usb drive or filling a disk for a friend can take long except if you would plug your hugger to the box directly. I am not good enough in Linux to create this piece of code, would somebody be interesting in developping this idea ?
Thanks

usb-storage.ko is fine. I would avoid ntfs.ko. I have lost data with that--there have been multiple versions of it floating around.

Can you use usb-storage.ko to mount an external NTFS formatted drive?
