My PS3 and DNS-323

I got this problem with PS3 and DNS-323 and don't know how to fix yet.

After uploaded all video/photo/music files from PC to DNS-323, I tried to view those files but they are not available on my PS3. But, after at least a day or two...those files will show up and works without a problem.

I checked DNS-323 config and did changed update every 5 mins, but that doesn't seem to help. Does anyone has this problem or just me?

Please help.

Re: My PS3 and DNS-323

hey,

First you will need to tell us about how all your stuff is connected and if you are wireless or not, are you talking about the UPNP server ?
Rebooting your dns-323 is as a solution for forcing the update of the database from the UPNP server.
See ya

sorry, forgot about that all my devices are connect to dlink 615 router via wire and yes it is UPNP server. As for rebooting the nas...I don't want to do that because I upload files 2 to 5 times a day...it is a hassle to reboot every single time I uploaded.

Re: My PS3 and DNS-323

Hey,

I had the same issue than you but now I am using mediatomb instead of the original Upnp server so I can't help you too much with that, in the version i was using before, there was not too much choice. there is thread about mediatomb with all the explanations, just have a quick search on the forum, ou ll find what you need.

Re: My PS3 and DNS-323

I found that if I had spaces in my description field of the dns-323  -- that my PS3 wouldn't see it at all.  Once I took the spaces out -- the PS3 was fine with it.

I seem to have the same issue but can't seem to be able to determine the pattern.

are you saying spaces in the name of the file?

I ripped some old CD that has spaces in the song's title and my PS3 sees them fine.
