I've got an OPENVPN server running on my 323 and sucessfully connected to it from the other end of UK from an OPENVPN client running on a Vista PC. I downloaded the application and basic client and server .conf files from the openvpn website, a bit of basic editing, setting up the keys (the hard part !) and it worked fairly easily. As someone who only discovered Fun_plug 4 months ago, and havn't used unix for 20 years it all worked fairly painlessly.
The only difficulty I had was the 3 weeks it took me to remember the different file formats (cr-lf vs lf) between PC and Linux on the server and client conf files (use notepad+ to edit).
Overall the openvpn site is very helpful - lots of examples and good documentation.

wouldn't it be better to check first if your router can support this feature by changing the firmware ? DD-WRT, Tomato and co are supporting that.

Actually I think I'll go that way instead. Bought the router quite recently so I'm not so keen on changing, but I will definetly look into changing the fw. Thanks!
