Hi there,
anyone already saw the original linux kernel of arm ?
http://www.arm.com/linux/linux_download.html
Another interesting thingie:
I analyzed the boot.log and saw a quite similar one from the Kuro-Box:
http://www.linuxforum.net/forum/showfla … amp;fpart=
Kuro-Box Hardware based on MARVELL BOARD: DB-88F5X81-DDR2 LE with same CPU
(DNS-323 is based on MARVELL BOARD: RD-88F5181-POS-NAS LE )

It also seems that much of the DNS hardware already has supported in recent mainline kernels
SATA (88SX7042): "2007-01-20 Olof Johansson sata_mv HighPoint 2310 support (88SX7042)"
ETH: sk98lin driver
USB: ehci-hcd driver
SERIAL: 8250/16550 driver
Maybe there isn't too much code to port to recent kernels to get basic functionality.
(Although the diff between D-Link's 2.6.6 and vanilla 2.6.6 is _huge_).

You probably only (at least) need cpu speed, mtd/flash and serial related diff's
