i've a 323 with 2 500gb hd, firmware 1.06.
i've installed fun_plug 0.5, upgraded installed packages, rebooted.
i can mount the 2 hd under linux (both mandriva 2009.1 and kubuntu 9.04) but:
1) character like "è" (displayed correctly under windows vista or with samba) are replaced by a black square with a "?" inside. i can't do anything with those files (move, play, rename)
2) i was moving (after the "mount -t nfs...") a file "example.txt" from my laptop to a folder on the 323 (Volume_1/Download) that contained the same file. Dolphin asked me if i wish to overwrite it. i answered yes, but it give me an error. from that moment, i can't see the files in that folder!!! from windows everithing is ok, from samba everithing is ok, from NFS that folder is empty!!! i tried to rename (from samba) that folder but no luck, always empty. i uninstalled fun_plug, reinstalled, upgraded but again, that folder from NFS is empty. WTF?????
any ideas?
PS: sorry for my bad english.

after some test, i've found that:
- strange character are always there. i tried to rename those files from windows but no luck. what should i do?
- the directory "empty not empty"... from windows, i moved all the files to another directory. tried to delete the "empty" directory: no result. still there, but NO error messages!
rebooted to linux, the new directory is now "full".
telnet -> go to that directory. if i digit "ls" i get:
ls: ./Indiana Jones e i predatori dell'arca perduta.avi: Input/output error
if i try "rm -r":
/mnt/HD_a2 # rm -r ___Film/
rm: cannot stat '___Film/Indiana Jones e i predatori dell'arca perduta.avi': Input/output error
rm: cannot remove '___Film': Directory not empty
so... since that file does not appear anywhere, maybe a filesystem problem? i can i check/resolve?
please, help!

This sounds something like a character set or locale mismatch?
Unfortunately I don't know anything about that stuff. Maybe one of the gurus can help.
