Stucking on AppleTalk Installation

Hi,
I would like firstly to congrats the creator of this big community for helping and sharings ressources for DNS-323.
I discovered recently the WIKI and Website and i'm very glad to discover a lot of mods.

However...
I tried to install AppleTalk, by setting up FFP.
But when I tried to install Apple talk using the command lines to enter on Wiki Page, i'm stucking because of rsync no space left :

Code:

/ # rsync -av --delete inreto.de::dns323/fun-plug/0.5/packages .
cd /ffp/packages
/ffp/sbin/funpkg -i netatalk*
/ffp/sbin/funpkg -i db42*receiving file list ... done
packages/
packages/MANIFEST.txt
packages/apr-1.2.12-2.tgz
packages/apr-util-1.2.12-1.tgz
packages/autoconf-2.61-2.tgz
rsync: write failed on "/packages/autoconf-2.61-2.tgz": No space left on device (28)
rsync error: error in file IO (code 11) at receiver.c(258) [receiver=2.6.9]
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (2964 bytes received so far) [generator]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(453) [generat or=2.6.9]
/ # cd /ffp/packages
/mnt/HD_a2/fun_plug.d/bin/sh: cd: can't cd to /ffp/packages
/ # /ffp/sbin/funpkg -i netatalk*
/mnt/HD_a2/fun_plug.d/bin/sh: /ffp/sbin/funpkg: not found
/ # /ffp/sbin/funpkg -i db42*
/mnt/HD_a2/fun_plug.d/bin/sh: /ffp/sbin/funpkg: not found
/ # cd ffp

No space left but i don't know what to do.
I entered df in order to get an idea :

Code:

Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/ram0 9911 9873 0 100% /
/dev/loop0 5760 5760 0 100% /sys/crfs
/dev/sda2 960404324 138128972 822275352 14% /mnt/HD_a2
/dev/sda4 497861 944 496917 0% /mnt/HD_a4

I'm not an expert, so your detailed help will be greatly appreciated.
Purpose of this installation : to get my DNS-323 nicely working with my mac.

Thanks a lot for help,
Alexandre.

Re: Stucking on AppleTalk Installation

Hi Alex,
This is myself to tell you that finally I managed installing everytging following firmly step by step the tutorial.

But still problem (nothing wrong on SSH).
I installed Bonjour and netatalk (Avahi included) : no error message but i can't access from mac even when trying to access manually to my DNS-323 (Go > Connect to server).
i tried afp://192.168.1.2/ > Nothing found

When I try to access mnaully with samba : it's very slow but possible. smb://192.168.1.2/ but SO SLOW...

In shared on my Finder :
i can see dns323 but when trying to access... nothing appears.

I'm sure I'm quite close from a solution to this issue... I spent 2 days on Telnet and i think it should be really working now..

Thanks for help,
Alexandre

Re: Stucking on AppleTalk Installation

This is really sucking. i don't know why D-Link did not prepare correctly this device to comply with AppleTalk. That's incredible !
Anyway, big thanks to the community which helps a lot..
