At first I realized I had put the single hdd in bay 2. I figured that was why the fun_plug shell never activated. That was version 0.4 Months later I put in another hdd in bay 1, 1.5 gb. I had upgraded the bios previously that it recognized the 1.5 gb. I am not using raid. And so using mc and ~.gvfs/voume_1 on blinky I put fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz on and not nested in a directory.
I have also purged them on volume_1 and the moved them over via nautilus. Still no go. I do know of any way to go into and chmod the files if that is needed.
telnet into 192.168.1.102 never works.
I have been doing rysnc's via ~./gvfs in ubuntu but want to start doing it in a more normal manner vis ssh. Any ideas of what I have been missing would be appreciated. peace mark
