missing power and IDE cable?
I just got DSM G600 few days ago without disk and power/IDE cabels. IDE cable isn't a problem, but connector on board for power seems somewhat non-standard. I didn't have any luck in local electronic shops, so soldering seems like a next best thing.
Before I do that, I was wondering did anybody else had problems with power cable? Did you get power cable with model without disk included?

Where did you get it? Mine has all cables including hdd power and ide cable and it was in closed box bought from circuit city.
I suggest you to take it back and get it replaced to full package.

I bought it in Croatia through D-Link distributor (it was two step process, since main distributor does only bulk orders, so I had to order it through computer store).
I managed to plug cable with normal connector at the end, but I don't have IDE power cable which goes straight down (L shaped) so fan in the way of power cable. What a mess...
I should note that they ordered exactly one unit (I suggested that device is very cool, so they would benefit from bulk order).

Latest update (and end of this thread hopefully): my distributor was actually very helpful and provided cable which was lost since my unit was on testing in magazine before it arrived to me. This actually means, it's really first unit here, which is also cool :-) I must thank to this forum and wiki for decision to purchase one, and I'm happy user.
