copy of files in recycle bin when saved with an internet browser

Hello,
I'm using a CH3SNAS and I have configured the recycle bin on the Samba server. (like on http://dns323.kood.org/forum/p19826-200 … tml#p19826).
It's working fine but I noticed that when I save a file with my internet browser (as well as Firefox as Internet explorer) on a Samba-share, a file of 0 bytes in size with the same name is created in the recycle bin directory.
The file in the recycle bin has a timestamp (modified attribute) of 1 second earlier than the actual file. It seems that Firefox and Internet explorer first create the file, immediately delete it, and then write the file??
I have tried to change some settings (turning versioning on and off, etc.) but that didn't work.

Does everyone else has this (when saving (downloaded) files with the internet browser)?
Is there a solution? While keeping the recycle bin functionality off course.

Thank you. Thank you.

Re: copy of files in recycle bin when saved with an internet browser

Hi,
Is there anyone who can test it for me?
Does copy of files appears in the recycle bin directory if they were saved with internet explorer or firefox?
Thank you.

Re: copy of files in recycle bin when saved with an internet browser

I found the cause of this problem (thanks for nobody wanting to take 10 seconds of their time to test this sad).
When you download something with internet explorer or firefox, the file will be saved with the extension .part as long as the download is incomplete. When the download is complete it will be renamed and the .part file will be deleted and goes to the recycle bin. (they are 0 kb, I don't know why that is).
Solution: set the .part extension to the exclude list in the recyle bin section of your samba configuration (smb.conf). Gonna do it right now.

Problebly there aren't so many people who use the recycle bin feature.
I know it's possible but I don't use it, as for me the dns323 is a backup drive.
