Yellow HDD LED of Doom?

About two weeks ago, my DSM-G600 rev B started a fun game where you wouldn't be able to access it on the network, you'd power it down and back up, and the HDD LED would come up yellow after it finished booting. If you turned it off and let it sit a while, when you powered it back up, everything would be fine. Now the yellow LED seems to be permanent, and it is making me nuts.

I installed the custom firmware from here, thinking I'd use the e2fsk to fix the disk, but the disk isn't being mounted, and doesn't even appear in the fstab file. I have reason to believe it is a corrupted file issue, but I am not savvy enough to be able to prove that.

I'd take it out and drop it in a computer, but we only have laptops, so there isn't an easy way for me to do that. I'm really hoping someone on here has a slick idea on how to get it going again long enough to copy everything off to a different harddrive!

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris
