I was wondering if I can create a share with the NAS - "just" like windows. So, when I browse thru my Network Neibourhood, I will see that share there - throught out my network.

I figured it out, you need to do this in the samba config file. However, every time I reboot the NAS, the config file gets over written (revert back to old), how can I over come this. I guess I need to find where the source file is an update that file, so when I reboot, my changes is put into effect.

Throughout the network ... mmm - I can show you how to do it on a single system and you can do it on each system - and with no editing of the samba config file.
Open "My Network Places", navigate to the DNS-323's Volume_1 and create a folder, call it what ever you choose, and place in it, what ever files you choose and then close it. Now select "Add a Network Place" and specify the location of the network place - for example \\MYDNS-323\Volume_1\whatever - or - browse to it - click Next and then name it, Next & Finish
How about we go one better and make it show in MyComputer - and with no editing of the samba config file.
Open "My Network Places", navigate to the DNS-323's Volume_1 and create a folder, call it what ever you choose, and place in it, what ever files you choose and then close it. Now right click "My Network Places" and choose "Map Network Drive" from the menu, select a drive letter and then hit browse and navigate to your folder, tick the reconnect at logon box and click finish.
