Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hello, first time poster and kind of a Linux noob so bear with me! I'm looking for any assistance available to help me solve this little problem I'm having. First off, GREAT JOB with the plug Fonz! I've much enjoyed having the greater security options that this hack has provided. But I've hit a roadblock, I have found this Instant Messenger online (www.QNext.com) that allows SSL encrypted file serves of unlimited file size and relatively reasonable speeds available free for Linux. My idea was to run this like a server on my NAS and use it as an alternative to the, lets face it, more complicated alternatives out there. I've tried the Debian Etch approach, but thus far have not been able to get it to bootup properly. I read somewhere that it may be possible to cross-compile certain programs to run with your Fun_Plug instead! It appears that the messenger carries with it it's own depenancies and really only needs proper permissions for x-server. Is this a feasable alternative to the Debian install or should I concentrate my efforts there? The messenger approach looks like it maybe be the most foolproof file server approach, so I hope the talent of this board will make itself heard. Thanks in advance to all who respond!

Hope everybody had a Happy Thanksgiving! I just wanted to add that this is a Java based app, if that makes any difference.
