Hi all,
I think I am not the first to raise this issue but:
when I put the root folder as the base for upnp, I can not see photos that are too deep in the folder path. ("no photos found")
I a previous topic:
http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2218
someone says that with a special adding in a config file of mediatomb, you can gain some folders (see below)
My questions are:
1. is there a way of doing this without installing mediatomb ? (modifying a basic configuration file)
2. How ? (yes I am a bit noob...)
Thanks in advance !
Ladybird
NB: I installed last beta 1.08 but it did not solved the problem. (this is why I am asking for workarounds...)

Hi,
I have experienced the annoying folder depth issue as well :-) One way to gain yourself three extra folders indepth is to create yourself a symbolic link in the mediatomb startup script point to the root directory. It does not fix the PS3 issues but for me having three extra levels has allowed me to use my existing directory structures.
My media tomb startup script now looks like:
#!/ffp/bin/sh
# PROVIDE: mediatomb
# REQUIRE: LOGIN
. /ffp/etc/ffp.subr
# Create symbolic link to media directory at root to remove path levels for PS3 level limitations
ln -s /mnt/HD_a2/data/media /media
media_dir="/media"
name="mediatomb"
command="/ffp/bin/$name"
mediatomb_flags="-d --interface egiga0 --home /ffp/var --cfgdir mediatomb --add $media_dir"
run_rc_command "$1"
Cheers
Robert
