ok, before you crucify me, i just want to say that this is a nice site

alright, i'm not a linux or command guy, so please bear with me.

i am able to install transmission 1.76 using fun_plug 0.5 and shadowandy's tutorial - http://www.shadowandy.net/2009/01/trans … s-323.htm. somewhat, im getting the feel of how to use telnet.

now, i wanted to install a web server, again following shadowandy's guide "Setting up lighttpd 1.4.17 with ImageMagick (10) - http://www.shadowandy.net/2007/12/setti … htm". i did download all the files that are required which includes:

   1. funplug-0.3.tar.gz
   2. lighttpd-1.4.17.tgz
   3. php-5.2.4.tgz
   4. imagemagick-6.3.4_9.tgz
   5. libjpeg-6b.tgz
   6. libpng-1.2.18.tgz

and since i have funplug 0.5 installed already, i skipped the installation of it again and go to the next step which is upgrading the lighttpd. so i did but the error reply is not found.
i have come to think maybe the commands for ffp0.3 differs from ffp0.5. I then browse on the 0.5 packages, and downloaded the lighttpd using wget. As I read along, ffp0.5 have already lighttpd in it, so, i upgraded it instead.

i then tried to install php (from 0.3 package) but an error: "FATAL: php-5.2.4.tgz: /ffp not found in package"

i successfully installed "imagemagick-6.4.1_6-1.tgz", "libjpeg-6b-1.tgz", and "libpng-1.2.29-1.tgz" with the comm,ang of "funpkg -i *.*"

now, how can i install php properly, what commands should i type?
