Installed php-5.2.6-mysql51-1.tgz but my.cnf is not in /ffp/etc/examp

Hi,

Using fun_plug 0.5 on a DNS-323.

I'm trying to follow the readme here: http://81.216.140.39/dns-323/mysql_and_php/ but after I successfully downloaded and installed php-5.2.6-mysql51-1.tgz and installed it, I tried to copy the my.cnf from  /ffp/etc/examples/ to /ffp/etc/ but it wasn't in there. I've searched the entire system and it appears to be nowhere to be found.

What's gone wrong?

I should also mention, in case it's related, that when I issued wget:

http://81.216.140.39/dns-323/mysql_and_ … ql50-1.tgz

It seemed to locate the file ok, because it reported the size as around 6mb but it was unable to download it. Something to do with 'unable to resolve "something clock"' I think, but the message has gone now so can't tell you exactly. As a workaround, I downloaded it from my browser to the NAS and then copied it to the package directory before installing it.

I would appreciate any help you can give to generate a my.cnf file, so that I can get mysql working.

Thanks guys.

Pete
