Accessing shares via chroot

Howdy all,
This is probably a stupid question..! I've had my DNS-323 for a few months and recently just discovered the wiki. I've setup chroot (etch) and AFP to talk to my Mac. All went well but when I mounted the DNS from AFP for the first time I was a bit surprised to not see my files that I have backed up to date. I think I assumed that loading Debian would somehow take over the host file system, instead it seems Debian is running alongside the firmware?

If thats the case, how can I access my files already on the DNS? Do I need to re-sync them or is there some way to create some sort of symbolic link between the two?

Sorry for the noob question!

Re: Accessing shares via chroot

I did that step. However as I'm using etch I just did a find/replace in the script to remove path references to Sarge.

Is it better to use Sarge?

Re: Accessing shares via chroot

Ahh, I got it now.

I just need to create some sort of symbolic link between /mnt/HD_a2  and /mnt/HD_a2/etch/home/<my_username>
