Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Any tricks for upgrading to 1.08 and using fun_plug?

I have customized my DNS-323 with NZBGet and transmission, some avahi stuff and mac sharing. I was wondering if I should upgrade to 1.08 and if I have to do any tricks for it to work, or if I could just do an upgrade and reboot and it will work? Or do I have to do fun_plug install again?

How to do it?

Thanks for any tips you might have!

I went from 1.06 to 1.08.  Just upgrade and reboot.

NFS file sharing stopped working for me but other stuff were fine.

Re: Any tricks for upgrading to 1.08 and using fun_plug?

I upgraded with litle trouble. I renamed the fun_plug file and rebooted. Then I did a factory reset through the web interface. (had some trouble then as the ip adress resets as well)
After the upgrade created my users and renamed the fun_plug file back. After a reboot I could not log in as the root password for SSH login had been reset. After getting back in through the telnet hack everything was fine (which was not so easy at first as I run fun_plug from USB)

I would advise to enable telnet before you start.

Having lived through the same nightmare I'd strongly advise the same thing! Apart from this little issue the upgrade was otherwise smooth.
