I want to create a maximum space for dns323 so I think jbod is the best. But I would like to know if one of the drive fail, will I be able to still read data from the other working drive? If not then how do I create 1 logical drive/partition from 2 drives while still maintaining some sort of data integrity when 1 fail. At least I don't loose everything if 1 drive fail.

No - when either drive fails in a JBOD configuration, you will lose access to all the data, even if the data is physically on the remaining functioning drive.
The only way you can create a single logical drive from two drives and maintain any sort of data accessability in the event of a failure is a RAID1 array - any other configuration, RAID0 or JBOD will result in the data being inaccessible.
