I installed two 500gb Samsung drives, formatted using ext2 and Raid 0. Copied about 600gb worth of data to the two drives. I have took out the two drives, installed 2 200gb seagates and formatted them using the standard format. Copied over about 100gb worth of data. Then I replaced the 2 500gb Samsungs into the DNS-323, it is now asking me to format the drives. Is there anyway to get back into these drives without having to format, or have a screwed myself?!? I have the newest 1.03 firmware and everything was networked and running fine until I started screwing with the settings! I was hoping to move the data from the 200gb drives, reformat them using Raid 0 and hoping it would then recognize my 2 500gb samsung drives. Will this work, or there other options? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think reformatting the 200 GB drives in RAID 0 and then swapping the 500s back is worth the try.
I would also strongly recommend your NOT using RAID 0 unless you are willing to lose the data (which you seem not to be) - RAID 0 stripes the data across both disks, as a means of improving throughput and failure of one disk WILL cause all the data to be lost.

Just so you know, it worked! I put in the two 200gb seagate drives, reformatted them like the 500gb were orginally formatted. I then replaced them with the 2 500gb drives and after about two hours of them syncing data it, everything was back up and running.
