Hi anybody,
I i use a 2X2T, first 750G RAID1 and an Raid Linear (JBOD for the firmware but real name is Linear ! )
This is automaic do by firmware if you choice to limit your raid1 or HD are not of some size
The only bad point is the Linear Raid this will be best a Raid1 + Raid0, one very secure and one very fast charging the 2 HD in some way but there are no option to do it automaticaly
the Lienar choice is probably done to easy auomatic upgrade HDs,
sample:
2 HD 1T Raid1, one fail
then
HD 1T raid1
HD 1.5T raid1 1T + Linear("JBOD") 0.5T
now the 1st fail i change it for 2T
HD 2T raid1+Linear 1T
HD 1.5T raid1 1t +Lienar 0.5T (total 1.5 T in this raid)
this work nice
But i want a raid 0 instead (you need 2 identical capacity HD for it, and remplace for identical HD when fail)

PS:
This is a good choice for Bigs HD:
750G is ok for Foto+Doc (Raid 1, ext3 option ordered or journal)
2.2 T for media data and eny else you can download in needed (torrents !) ( Raid 0, ext3 yes ! but option ordered near some speed ext2 but best)
