Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Slow/Erratic bringing upof network interface

I'm seeing some odd behavior with my new DNS323, FW version 1.03, configured in RAID1 with 2 500GB disks: after restarting, the network interface can come up straight away, or can take 30+ minutes, or sometimes not come up at all.
I've tried with and without funplug scripts, with DHCP and static IP, and have rebuilt the RAID array several times.
I'm not seeing anything obvious in dmesg.
Not much info I know, I'll be digging into this more this weekend, just wanted to check if anyone else has seen similar issues?

Re: Slow/Erratic bringing upof network interface

Uhh - not with mine.  I'm currently running FW 1.03, 1x 80GB, 1x 250GB, two separate volumes, a minimal fun_plug for telnet access, reserved DHCP address - device is accessible as soon as the blue button stops flashing, which I've never timed, but I'd guesstimate at not more than a minute or two.

Re: Slow/Erratic bringing upof network interface

I have had mine on fixed IP and "floating" IP and admin interface has always come up immediately...1.03 or 1.02.
