Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
I'd like to reset my DNS 323 to the original factory settings, but I'd like to know what is involved in doing this (apart from having a backup of the data elsewhere), preferrably from someone who has done this before at least once or twice.
What's the difference between using the button on the back of the device, versus from the web GUI?
Should both drives be in the drive bays when resetting the DNS 323 or should there be nothing in the drive bays?
If using fun_plug, I've heard doing a reset doesn't really reset everything (not the data on my drives of course) - how can I do a true and complete reset including reverting to before fun_plug (so that I can re-add fun_plug onto a clean DNS 323)?
What are the risks in resetting the device, and how can I minimize them?

I'm curious about this also. I recently added more media files to my DNS-323, then went to log into the admin interface to refresh the uPNP server, to find that my admin password is no longer being accepted for some reason. Not sure what's up with that, but I set it, and it hasn't ever been changed.
The way I see it, I have 2 options, maybe.
First, and obviously, I can use the reset button, but I have never used it that I can remember, so I am not sure if I will have any issues. I would have to imagine that any of the users and permissions that I set up will be wiped, and I am not sure if that will cause any access issues even with reusing the same user names. If it's just a matter of setting up the users again and quotas, and permissions, that isn't a HUGE deal.
Second option, I THINK, is changing the password. I have the FFP set up, and SSH Root access to the box. Is it possible to navigate to a certain directory and change the admin console password that way?

Nobody has info on what the reset will do with regard to users, and if it will cause access issues?
