Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

can't ssh into DNS-323 after chmod everything to 777

Long story short.
I got eXtplorer to install on the DNS-323.
I changed the CHMOD on all the folders on the root directory (.systemfile, BT, Nas_Prog, ffp, www, ffp.log and fun_plug) to 777 (recurse into subdirectories as well).
Now I can't ssh into the DNS-323.
I can still access the DNS-323 Web UI and my webserver and eXtplorer.

I'm currently using D-link's stock version of their BitTorrent. If I know more about compiling I would use something better like Transmission, rTorrent or MLDonkey.

Can someone please tell me what is the default CHMOD vaulues I need to change all the folders on the root directories, and if the CHMOD needs to be recursive into the subdirectories as well or not?
Or if there's something else I have to do so that I can ssh back into the DNS-323.

Thank you,

Re: can't ssh into DNS-323 after chmod everything to 777

ssh doesnt work if the access settings are incorrect (to protect against insecure configs).

In your case, easiest is probaly to resinstall ffp again. rename the ffp folder to ffp-old and fun_plug to fun_plug-old and redo the funplug install.
