DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

Hello everybody!

I bought DNS-323 some time ago and also found known issues:
- system temperature is too high 48C in my case
- fan is too loud

So.. I read entire forum and a lot of other sources and decided to make a hardware mod.
I bought Titan TFD-9225GT12Z(RB) and it fits perfect...

I made a bigger hole in the metal plate and in the plastic back. To connect fan to the 12V power I disassembled the DC adapter of mine DNS-323 and make one more wire direct to the fan... so fun is running all the time ..

Now... The system temperature is +36C without front cover and +40C with front cover installed...
I put cover aside ) So now..




Moreover this cooler is really quite - I hear only how my HDDs works....
