Roku 2 XS & DNS-323

Hey all,
I just picked up the Roku 2 XS and the Streaming part looks great.  Now, of course, I'd like to extend that into streaming from my local content.  These would be AVI or MKV files.  I currently use a Patriot Box Office for this. I'm hoping to use the Roku on a secondary TV.

Has anyone been able to make this work?  If so, what was the server side work that was needed?
Which Roku Channel did you select/create?

TIA,

Joe

Re: Roku 2 XS & DNS-323

Try the RoConnect, they have a channel on Roku and a couple of good sites that explain how to install on a home computer.  I have installed it on an Ubuntu system at home, and am currently seeing if I can install it on my DNS-321 using LightHTTPD (I've had issues with the "MediaInfo" dependency though).

One issue is that you can only use m4v files on the Roku.  Handbrake will convert if needed.

I'd be interested in hearing if you're successful getting this running..
