I bought a used 2-disk DNS-323 and want to use it to backup several
Linux and Windows systems. I prefer to have the Linux and Windows
backups on separate RAID-1 volumes. When I tried to do this with the
stock unit, it would create one RAID-1 volume, but the only option for
the remainder of the storage was JBOD.
In Linux itself you can do this by partitioning the disks and creating
RAID volumes using the partitions, but I can't see how to do this on the
DNS-323 (which I believe runs Linux).
Is there a way to do this, either on the stock box or by upgrading it's
software? Am I missing something here?
