Hello, my plan is to use the DNS323 as a backup solution. Rsync seems to be built-in with the ds111. How do I configure the DNS323 to work as a rsync client. The DNS323 is on FW1.10 and ffp is installed, that's how far I got.

Thank you samcjtsai, I have got the rsync client running. Now the DS111 is disliking something. The error message is in german so I'll post it in the german Synology forum. It says something like "no access to the folder". I'll let you know as soon as I have a solution. Thanx again.

Read the link carefully.
Check your dns323 if the required folders are there and create them if necessary.

OK, after spending endless hours, the DS111 eventually won. I did not get those two to speak with each other in a proper way. Result: sold the DNS-323 and bought a Synology DS207+. Now working like a charm. Thanks again guys.
