Before I found this site I installed the 323 out of the box and set it to Raid 1. Firmware 1.01b.
What file system did it format the drives to? I don't remember if it asked me but I don't think it did?
Move a bunch of stuff to the device, a week later lost power and now it doesn't show any filesystems.
I can't see any filesystem via the 323 or the ext windows driver in windows.
Any chance I can just drop this in a linux box fsck and recover?
Thanks.

Well since I didn't get a response I did it anyway.
Didn't have a linux box (I run freebsd) but I took one of the raided drives put it in a box and booted via a live cd distribution (puppy) linux that I picked off of distrowatch.
fsck took about 2 million years. I was then able to copy all the data off via a usb ( WD my book) drive.
That took about 12 hours.
So when I stuck the drive back in the dns it then resync'ed the raid, couple hours and the shares and file system were back on it also.
I now don't trust this thing at all but I'll mod and use it as a toy, it damn sure isn't a tool.

Hi waste,
Sorry you had problems
I would suggest upgrading the Firm Ware FWIW (1.03) - ext 2 is prefered because of 'issues' with ext3 implementation on the unit.
Many of us have had it up and running for weeks/months with out issue...

Well it's now at 1.03 an it's a pretty neat/cheap little box. I just won't keep anything I can't replace on it, maybe use it for itunes.
