Security question for DSM-G600

A Swedish company sells the DSM-G600 and a 250Gb disc for internal use, for about 145 british pounds/214 Euro/280 USD
That sounds pretty nice, or what do you think?

I will attach it witch a cable to my wireless router which only has a SPI firewall. How can I make sure that nobody gets access to it from Internet?

My computers have their own firewalls, but this device will be connected directly to the router and I guess it has no own firewall that is better than the SPI in my wirelss netgear router.

Re: Security question for DSM-G600

As far as you don't forward any ports and you don't give external IP to your DSM-G600 then you should be good in most cases smile

Re: Security question for DSM-G600

I got a 300GB at CompUSA for $99 a while back after rebates.  I also got the DSM-G600 at Cirtcuit City for about $99 when it was on sale.  I guess I got a very good deal. smile
