Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

hi there,
I just installed a secind drive in bay2 - works fine.
I previously installed fun-plug on drive one.
Now I can't seem to Telnet in...connection refused.
Any ideas?

OK... thanks for that. Yep "Bay2" as I called it is on the RHS. So I have the funlug on the wrong drive.
What is the best to do now....
Just swap the drives over ... or install funplug on RHS drive?

Your files that used to be in volume 1 should now appear in volume 2. If that bothers you, you could try swapping the drives.
OTOH, installing a new funplug or moving the existing one is a matter of a minutes...
Whatever you prefer.

Hi Fonz,
Just tried swapping the drives - right here next to me and seemed easiest, but now I cannot map the drives anymore. So I swapped the drives back and still cannot map the drives in the DLINK easy search utility.
Any ideas?

Hi Fonz - Got the drives mapped again using IP address for the share.
The funplug on Volume_1 though is in use however I cannot delete it / removes the files / telnet in? What can I do here?
I have copied all the files over to Volume_2 so now have 2 fun_plugs on 2 volumes... still no telnet - connection not allowed.
How can I just get the one on Volume_2? Reboot doesn;t change things.
Cheers

Did you make sure that you have access rights to the funplug script and it is executable ?
You can do this by modifying file propoerties by accessing the DNS with an ftp client.

Can you try to be a little more precise when you describe problems and not mix different issues?
If I understood correctly, you swapped disks. funplug files should then be on volume 1. Is this correct so far?
You're also saying that telnet is still not working. First thing to check is if the fun_plug script is run at all.
After boot, the fun_plug script writes a log message into fun_plug.d/log/fun_plug.log. Please check this
file for _new_ log messages after boot.
