I just recently purchased the dns-323 and I've been searching for the 1.04 firmware for quite a while. I finally came across v1.04 beta 28 here.
I downloaded and flashed my dns323 and have the firmware date of: 07/06/2007. I also uploaded it to rapidshare just in case: 1.04b28

Play all you want with the beta firmwares, but just a word of caution if you have anything of importance stored on the DNS-323. Don't.
You will likely start to experience funky behavior with corrupted files. You can downgrade the firmware, but the data on your drives will still be corrupted and likely it will get worse over time. This has been the experience of many of us.
If you want newer versions of things like Samba etc, you are better off installed Debian on the unit and using chroot'd versions of the newer software.

Yeah, I've been reading about corruption with files and with other problems. I was just providing a way to download it as some people like to be on the "bleeding edge" of things. As for myself, I'm doing the 1.03 firmware with a chroot'd environment. Seems to be the safest and best way to go. Thanks!
