FTP Server access via internet

Hi.
I’m able to use the FTP server in my DNS-313 when I’m makes the access from a computer within my local network.
I’m unable to do so, if I try from the outside of my firewall (Internet), I have forwarded port 21, and I can log on to the server and get my welcome message, but are unable to get a dirlist.
Is the DNS-313 server and active FTP-Server? And if so, which other ports do I need to forward?

Re: FTP Server access via internet

Hi.

It works now.
I change the access in my server.
Instead of single user access to "root" an usergroup is added as access to "root", and my user added to usergroup.
It works.

Re: FTP Server access via internet

Hi,
I can download at only 5 ko/s from the internet, but no limit when I upload.
However I configured the flow control at "unlimited".
No speed problem in the LAN. Only from the internet.
And unhappily, with the 1.01 firmware, no telnet sad
No problem from the internet when I mounted another ftp server in one of my LAN workstations (Windows XP).
What's wrong with my dns-313 ?
Thanks!

Re: FTP Server access via internet

The probleme is due to my FAI (AliceAdsl) who restricts (I don't know why) the downloads from he web ONLY for the DNS313!
I put the DNS-313 in a LAN under another FAI: NO problem except if I download from the web with AliceAdsl...
????????

Re: FTP Server access via internet

change mtu size on the dns 313 to the right value of your isp, that should solve your issue
