Streaming From DNS-313 to XBOX360 using Upnp AV
HI everybody,
I just bought a dns-313, and got one problem with this device, I search the internet for it....but couldn't find anything about it.
I just put the Upnp av botton on allowed and then i selected a directory.
On the XBOX 360 i cannot find the dns-313.
Must i open some ports in my firewall???
I hope someone can help me.

The built in UPnP AV server in DNS-313 does not work with Xbox 360. This will hopefully be fixed in a future FW.
This is the same scenario as with DNS-323. But with the fun plug users are able to install another UPnP AV server on the NAS and stream to Xbox 360.
But there is not yet a fully working fun plug for the DNS-313, but i know there are some users on this forum working on it.

Just also tried to telnet the dns-313 but without succes.
Using windows telnet. I think i've to wait until the fun plug is ready for dns-313.
Lets hope it will not take to long ;-)

is it possible now with the new firmware DNS-313_1.01b10 or the 1.01b11 to stream to xbox360?

DNS-323 firmware now has it.
but DNS-313 does not.
DNS-323 - Excellent in many cases.
DNS-313 - Love it, but hate that D-link only prior the DNS-323 development.
DSM-G600 - Noisy, slow, unstable and ugly. I simply hate it so far.

With newest firmware for 313 IT DOES WORK for xbox360

indeed, it does work, follow the instructions from above member (killerbeenl) and it works just fine!
