I hope they're right but I suspect that may have been a throw away line by the French support staff. My experience is that the Dlink support staff (Australia) didn't even know about the current firmware releases, let alone any future ones. They also told me that the DNS-313 and DNS-323 firmware was interchangeable. Totally useless support desk.
The things I most desire in any new firmware (if it does eventually come) are:-
1. Power management that works (my 313 NEVER powers down the hard disk (even with the ethernet plug removed!)
2. Performance improvements (I get a max of 10MB/s even if I directly connect the PC to the NAS). I believe this is probably an NTFS issue.
Overall, I think the DNS-313 was released without proper testing and does not live up to Dlink's marketing hype. A very disappointing product.
