Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.

1.02 have one annoying bug, I cannot log in to ftp server except using anonymous account.
I can login in FTP. maybe delete the account and make it again. Maybe the root of the user account does not exist any more ?!
I have tried it along with a few number of things. Still doesn't work. It gives me error 503 when logging in using regular account.
I have revert to 1.01 build 14 and now ftp works correctly.
Is there anyone else having this problem ?

Strange, checking the filesystem doesnt report any problem now in 1.02 beta (scandisc in the previous firmwares reported inconsistent ntfs but it couldn't repair it) but I know that there is a problem because I cannot delete some folders and files... the ntfs outside the windows is nothing but the trouble :-(

503.. I guess there is an incompatibility with the client and server. Try an other ftp client, or try in IE or Firefox:
ftp://<username>:<password>@<ip adres dns 313>
ie
ftp://hanzo:secretpwd@192.168.1.50

Where can you not delete it ? Maybe it is a language-code thing, a name with a very strange sign in it. You can try setting the language to an other language than current.

No, it's not a language-code thing for sure, but thanks anyway for your suggestion. I can rename a dir without any problems for example, but I cannot delete it. I even attached my dns-313 to my computer (USB) and tried to delete it again, but Vista show error 80070091 (not empty dir, I checked it again: it's empty, no visible/invisible file in there).
EDITED:
I knewn it. The problem was corrupted NTFS (corrupted index entry and free space marked as allocated in the master file table (MFT) bitmap), scandisc in Vista found the problem! DNS-313 built-in scandisc (from version 1.02b4) doesnt report serious problems with NTFS!

OK. I've installed this new firmware and everything seems fine: http works, ftp also, and even the fun_plug packages are still up and running :-)
And most of all: now the HDD shuts down.... and I finally have a slient NAS :-)

When I was using 1.01b14 firmware, my DNS-313 was totally silent. But now after 1.02 installation cooler is running slowly almost all the time
