Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I installed the fun_plug and followed the following commands:

Password:
BusyBox v1.00-pre1 (2007.08.28-03:13+0000) Built-in shell (ash)

# cd /mnt/HD_a2
# funpkg -i curl-7181.tgz

Did i miss any codes wrong? I followed the guide here: http://www.shadowandy.net/2008/05/trans … ns-323.htm and yet nothing works!
Anyways, i wanna format the HDD and install fun_plug again. How do i go abt it?

hi fonz... thanks for your reply.
i'm not sure if i messed up dns-313 up... becos the way i installed the fun_plug was putting the files in Volume_1 and then i turned the thing off instead of "Restarting" if via the admin page. I didn't know i could restart that way until recently.
Anyways, i can't even change the directory when i telnetted into my dns-313. I wish to start over... and would like to format my HDD. So how do i do it? Do i do the usual format by plugging it via USB and do a quick NTFS format? Then run the dlink cd again?
Please help.. i'm a clueless n00b. I've not used NAS before.

thanks to fonz_, he guided me thru at the irc channel and it seems that all i needed to do was to update the firmware.
