Installed it and it bricked my DNS-313. It was on 1.02 firmware. My DNS 313 was not modded in any way. When rebooting, it does a DHCP discover now ( although it was configured before with a fixed IP ). However it is not responding to a DHCP OFFER. It just hangs. I tried the reset button at the back but no result. It still works as directly attached. I removed the 3 'sytem' partitions and I'm backing up now my data partition. Then I will remove also the data partition and start with a clean HD. Hopefully it comes back alive again with a clean install. Any way to recover from a bad firmware ?

In this documentation ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dns/dns-313/document … NS-313.PDF they said (I don't understand german so it's supposition) after the installation of the firmware you must restart the ClicknConnect.exe software and us the "Repair" choice. Did you do it?

I live in France and my hardware are NS-101 REV-A1 (bought last week).
Currently I doesn't flash my nas with firmware 1.03b04, I want to have better return before.

I flashed my DNS 313 (HW : REV - A1) with this last firmware (v1.03b04).
- The device reboot.
- Get an IP address via DHCP (it was configured with a fixe IP before)
- Works fine through USB interface
- But is not working anymore through Ethernet interface (no ping / no http )

I tried to clean the HD and try a new installation with "ClicknConnect" published with the firmware v1.03b01, but nothing works.
How to recover from this firmware ? Is there a new version of "ClicknConnect" ?

After the reset the connexion to the NAS was blocked by my new Firewall.
I started with a new configuration and it seems to work.

I have successfully upgrade my DNS-313 with firmware from D-Link (first link).
Process:
Before I have activated the mail notification to be notified of a firmware upgrade.
First I use the firmware provided by olivier13 and I receive a mail with: "firmware update , version=1.02b04( 8.56.07.30.2008)"
And when I came back to the firware upgrade on the web page, it's also 1.02 displayed.
Second I download the firmware provided by Tilly on the first message (directly from D-Link) and I compare 2 firmwares. The first part are identical but Firmware from Tilly it's bigger and have many data after.
I flash it and I receive a notification mail from my NAS : "firmware update , version=1.03b04(14.21.12.07.2008)". And on the web page I have 1.03 displayed.
So I think, Olivier your firmware it's not good.

I tried to flash my 313 with this firmware and it don't work, I've a green ligth on my HDD at the end of update, so I must make a repair with my original 313 CD to restore firmware.
Trying to make an ISO with this firmware but don't work too

After the installation of the firmware 1.02 I also have a green led for the hard drive, to solve this I hard reset the NAS (button behind) and I launch the ClicknConnect.exe software (from my original CD) and us the "Repair" choice. After the NAS reset and everything it's OK (blue led).
After I flash the firmware 1.03 and I doesn't need to redo this procedure, all leds are blue after.

i had the same problem after flash
,green light and i cant access in ethernet after flash with this firmware
i made a reset
so i use clickconnect v:1.03 (in administrator mode in vista)
and i use option : repair a previously incomplete installation.
its not erase my data
and now its work fine

Note that there are two variants of 1.03b04 depending on your hardware.

I have updated without problems but it didn't solve my old problem with UPnP music on my Argon iNet internet radio. Even if it works with XBOX360 (which I don't know), it doesn't seem to be DLNA certified yet.

Firmware 1.03b4 have a bug. If you use a Dynamic DNS server, it's possible you reseive an abuse mail from your DDNS providers saying your NAS make a lot of DNS update.
I try with Dyndns.org and DlinkDDNS.org and it's the same thing.
Must disable Dynamic DNS on my NAS and use my router option for that.
