Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

New DNS-313 was only transferring at approx 1Mbps.
That is until I unplugged it, and re-plugged it from gigabit switch and changed a cable which did work at 1Gbps for other connections.
Now it is averaging 8MB/sec which is a lot better!
What a pain to get it set up though. I had to use the reapir option for some reason to get it onto the network initially.
Rgds.

I done more detailed tests :
Samba (network
share) | FTP
--------------------------------------------------------
Download | 2,1 Mb/s | 2,4 Mb/s
Upload | 1 Mb/s | 2 Mb/s
Wifi 54 with 74% quality (theorical maximum 54 / 8 *0,74 = 4,995 Mb/s)

I'll try some wireless tests on my system at home when I'm back in 3 weeks.
But, in the meantime, using WindowsXP on an Intel Pro/1000-MT NIC and jumbo frames through a D-link DGS-1216T Gb Switch, I was getting about 320Mb/s throughput.

p.s. keep in mind wifi is half-duplex typically.
