Hello Sala,
thanks for your informations, I would like to know if ffp still works with 3.12 firmware.
Do you know the differences between the PLUS version? I see some pics but it seems identical to the white version. Is the firmware interchangeble?
Thank you.

ffp works. Don't really know the differences but it might be power on and off scheduler which is present on firmware but you cant use it on non plus version at least. Firmware image is not compatible between plus and non plus versions but content might be.

Thank you, today i will try the update.
I see in your signature that you use a Gentoo system on the NSA-220.
Have you installed chrooted or it replace the original firmware?
In that case do you use some web frontend to access the NAS features?
Thank you very much.

No chroot. I have replaced NSA-220 kernel and I got just raw gentoo linux on hard disk. There is no web interface by default but there are some webmin packages for regular linux as well.

Hello!
I've had problems updating my nsa-220 from 2.30 to 3.12. I've done everything according to the instructions about 10-15 times. I've tried formatting the usb-stick with windows, with the nsa-220, I've tried reseting the nsa-220 before attempting to update and I've tried both usb ports.
I don't know what to do now so I come here for help.

Well, what is this problem you have? You can describe step by step what you have tried to do and maybe someone sees mistake you are making.

Dummy me.
So first off I format my Kingston 4GB USB-stick to FAT32-format using windows or nsa-220. 2. I move the 312AFB0C0_for_2.30_or_above.exe file to the usb stick. I run the program to the usb drive (J:\) . I remove the stick and attach it to the powered off and unplugged nsa-220. I power on the nsa-220.
Now it should update and then shut down. I've done this many times and the last time I tried I gave it 24h to do it's thing. But all it does is start up normally. The sys led blinks green for a while, the disk leds light up and that's it.
I've also run the 2.30 upgrade again with the thought that everything didn't go well with the previous firmware upgrade and because of that this one doesn't work. It didn't help either.

Try some other (smaller, fat16 formated) usb stick maybe.
Which files you have on your stick after you run 312AFB0C0_for_2.30_or_above.exe?
Can you share usb stick files off with NSA-220?

I don't have a smaller usb stick available, but I tried formating to fat 16. No change. When the usb stick is plugged in on startup, it doesn't show up as an external drive, but when I remove and attach it again, it comes available. Now it is shared on the nsa-220.
The files on the stick are: usb_key_func.sh, nsa220_check_file, nsa220_fw folder
in the nsa220_fw folder are: awk, ras.bin, tail, Upgrade, Upgrade_FW, usb_key_func.sh, version

Okay I got another usb stick (256MB) FAT32 formatted and it solved the problem. I guess you have to have a nice collection for everything to work. Thanks for the help!
