Own WebGUI

Hey there,

I would like to build my own WebGUI for my NAS, I installed the Debian lenny-distribution and i'm going to build my own firmware...
I downloaded the firmware for NSA-220 Plus ftp://opensource.zyxel.com/NSA-220%20PL … ild.tar.gz
and saw there is a dojo Javascript Framework.

But I couldn't figure out, until now how exactly the connection between the javascript actions (for example set rights on a share) and the webserver is.

how do you modify the configfiles? or what exactly does change when I make a save click o the GUI? is there a special apache module or something? how is the link between "changing config" and javascript made?

Thanks, Patrick

Re: Own WebGUI

AFAIK all communication between webserver and firmware is done through zyshclient, which does the actual work.

Re: Own WebGUI

thank you for your answer,
is zyshclient an apache module or something like that?
I don't get exactly the concept
is there some similar for the debian-lenny distribution?

Its more likely closed source cgi executable.
There are some webmin-s available for a regular linux including debian.
