Maybe it's been discussed already in this forum, but then I haven't found it: When I mount my dns-313 to another computer (or tv, for that matter) I can only see the top 7 levels of directories, although it has 9 levels. Because the actual data are in the lowest directory levels, this is quite annoying. The bottom levels have been made and filled with data while the NAS was mounted to my laptop through unfsd.
When I attach the disk to my laptop through USB, everything seems OK. I can see all of the files on the filesystem.
So, correct me if I'm wrong, but in my opinion that means that:
1: the filesystem is OK.
2: the filesystem driver software (fuse no doubt) is OK.
3: unfsd poses limits to the number of levels in a directory tree on a filesystem that is being exported.
Am I correct in these assumptions? and if so, is there anything that can be done about it? I tried the regular kernel nfs daemon, but it fails to start and, until recently, unfsd did the job quite well.
