Hello,
Has anyone managed to compile it's own kernel for the DNS-313?
I guess the best choice is to use the kernel sources provided by d-link and compile it.
I don't find any default config file in it. Could someone provide one?
Regards,
Lordikc

It'd be nice to have some kind of fast walkthrough on compiling kernel.

Here: http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic. … 536#p33536 I wrote a one method. If you fail, then I will answer the questions.
There, I forgot to write down what you need to add ~/Gemini_v2_6_3-n_BSP/usr/local/920t_le/bin/ to $PATH.
Also, I was able to compile the kernel through compiler "Sourcery G + + Lite 2009q3-68 4.4.1", but it needs a little change kernel sources.

Some more information about compiling the kernel ... see on this page, how I successfully built tun.ko kernel module, for the DNS-313

My DNS+313 box is working on this kernel http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5708. There is guideline step by step.

Hi !
Is the stock Dlink .config file (before your personnal NFS/vfat/ext3 mods) available somewhere ?
I will try to add ipsec support to the stock kernel, in order to use openswan on my DNS-313 ...
Thanks again for your tutorial !

Hi!
Dlink uploaded a new version of the firmware. "GPL source code: DNS-313 B1 FW v2.00 (for WW)": http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/downloads2008li … amp;OS=GPL . There is a .config for different versions of devices. In /source/Image/src/linux/
.config_32M_HD for RevA and .config_64M_HD for RevB.
I can send you the files.
