Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hey everyone. I'm all new to the wonderful world of fun_plug, actually DNS-320 is my first touch into the NAS world.
First of all it was a little confusing to install the ffp. All the tutorials I've seen online advises me to put the fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz files into Volume_1. However for me it didn't work at all. I had to move the files to the Volume_2. What made this harder for me was that I had only one harddrive intalled at first.
Now that I got ffp installed and ssh access working I just want to be able to run irssi screen instance. So I could connect to it from my phone and laptop. I'm noob in unix operating systems so this all is so confusing. And I was unable to make this work myself (some problems with dependencies I guess). So please someone help me.

Hmmm... So no one knows/wants to help me? Well atleast thanks for the 81 views. I'll just stick with the standard functions for now. Thanks.

On dns323 irssi can be found using opware. Maybe the same applies to 320. On 323 it not that hard, and good instuctions exists. Google it. Good luck.
Thanks for the reply. I tried using optware and got irssi installed but still can't run it. I'm clear missing something. But I got no idea what.
