In anticipation of US availability of these boxes, I exchanged email with Tech Support in Australia to learn that Advanced Format aka 4K block drives are not going to be supported in these boxes either

We really need the vendors to accelerate support for these since it is increasingly difficult to buy large drives without AFT.

That is very good news for us users!

Is Dlink going to add AFT support to the 323 and the 321? Doing the partition alignment on my WD20EARS was such a pain that I've held off upgrading the drives in the remaining 3 bays.

Yes but we have to make sure we add warnings etc because the devices do not like it when someone starts with a non-Advanced drive and then adds an Advanced Format drive. Bad things happen, shifts in time, world ends etc. =P. I am trying to fit this fix in last minute before final firmware so hopefully all goes well.
