it's genuine for sure since it's official dlink ftp site , you can find the same file on other ftp too...I just upgraded to this firmware and all seems fine...the gui is new and very different , the options are the same
The update won't reset your current configurations...I suggest to clear the cache of the browser after the upgrade or odd things may happens.

Upgraded with the new firmware and it works fine.
The interface is much better as it make use of a wide screen, the old one was very cramped. Has a favourites page with a status panel on the right, very nice
There also seems to be a new service called Remote Backup that I don't remember being there before or did I miss it ?
Interface (gui) wise a vast improvement

Remote backup is an integrated version of RSYNC.

I have had this new firmware on for about a week, and all seems well.
New GUI is much better than old
This has not fixed the problem with the torrent enging only downloaded from public sites though
