How to setup email notif (hotmail..) on DNS-320?
Hi,
I would like to set an e-mail notification on my new DNS-320 but having only "Test email fail" when try to send test e-mail ...
I would like to use Hotmail account (gmail or yahoo could be also an option). Tried too many combinations... tried to google solution but still no luck for me 
(
Anyone managed to set it up (if even possible)?

you need to provide some mail specific settings, for gmail you need port 587 and smtp.gmail.com server, sender and receiver email can be the same (works for me), also activate smtp authentication
if you press the test email button and a mail from NAS drops in your inbox then you are set to choose events notification

Thanks. Notifications work great with Gmail (Hotmail or Yahoo just don't work..at least for me).

Just a thought, I don't think Yahoo mail and Hotmail allow POP access on their free accounts but gmail does.
This may be the problem
