ffp, mediatomb and ntfs

Hi all,

I'm trying to wrap my head around how I should go about setting up ffp on my dns-313 for use as a mediatomb uPnP server.

One issue that started me looking into this is that the default uPnP doesn't seem to play nice with my Mac and the NTFS partitioned drive doesn't like Mac naming.

I'm planning on using my Mac in conjunction with a PC running Ubuntu to manage the media on the media server via different programs like iPhoto (Mac) and Shotwell (Ubuntu) using Samba shares.

I've read that mediatomb will run better on a ext2 or ext3 FS as opposed to an NTFS system and am not sure if by installing ffp and then loading the mediatomb package which partition they're going to be installed on.

Should I first be looking at shrinking/swapping the ext2 and NTFS partitions before installing ffp and if so any guides on how to do that?

Thanks in advance for any help.
