for fecks sake, i make one lousy change to this piece of junk and now i have losxt my samba shares.
I changed user password, the user disappeared off he password list, i re-added user and now samba is not working. port scanner no longer sees ports 139 and 445 bactive on this nas. I have tried everything bar factory reset.
The logs tell me nothing.
Nor can I remember the baud settings or how to get into the console as it has been so long.
Can anyone remind me how to get to console from serial cable please?

Hello,
I'm facing exactly the same problem. FTP access works fine but samba is gone.
Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this without flashing the disk ?
