Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

HELP: 7-Zip on fun_plug not working

I own a D-Link DNS-320 and I love the fun_plug 0.5 install. I can run transmission BT etc. on it.

Now I have a lot of large 7-Zip files and I wish there was p7zip on my NAS so I can run a command in background to decompress. I couldn't find any re-build p7zips so I tried compiling it myself on my virtual linux (Fedora Core 4.1). It compiled 7za successfully so I copied it to my NAS ffp/bin folder. But it keeps on saying error on line 1 when I run it.

Please please can you include 7-Zip & alien in future fun_plug distributions, and maybe developer tools so we can build ourselves.

Also, in mean time, can someone alien convert a debian/rpm 7-Zip package to fun_plug funpkg compatible please.

Uhm... FFP0.5 has had developer tools from the very beginning, AFAIK. Have a look here.

Re: HELP: 7-Zip on fun_plug not working

I suggest you to reinstall fun plug in 0.7 version since :

- more recent
- more packages
- use EABI instruction (fun plug 0.7 arm eabi is compatible with dns-320, I have a dns 320 and compile lot of packages for ffp 0.7 arm)
- 7zip is present and transmission also.

Fred.
